NiteSite Eagle digital night vision clip-on a force to be reckoned with for the night hunter

The NiteSite Eagle is for the hunter who wants a product without limitations. Much like nature’s eagle, this NiteSite will spot and identify quarry so far away it almost seems unfair. It achieves this using five powerful infrared illuminators (invisible to people and animals) to literally illuminate the target area immediately in front of where the rifle scope is aiming, allowing clear target identification up to 500 metres (550 yards) away. The infrared image is then captured through the rifle scope by a compact digital camera unit attached to the scope’s eyepiece and then played back live to the hunter via the unit’s integral 3.5 inch LCD screen. A video out jack enables recording of all night hunting activities.

Unlike most other night vision clipons on the market, NiteSite Eagle has a fundamentally different design.  NiteSite Eagle has 2 key components.  First is the digital night vision camera which attaches to the viewfinder of a daytime riflescope or another optical device.  Second is the 3.5 inch LCD display which mounts on top of the scope and serves as the new viewfinder.  There is no need to re-zero your scope when using NiteSite Eagle.  Assembly takes about 1-2 minutes at which point you are ready to shoot at night with your familiar reticle of your day time scope.  With the impressive high resolution and sensitivity night vision camera, NiteSite Eagle is able to offer target identification at 500 meters.  We like this novel design and the fact that this is digital night vision offers the convenience of not being concerned with daylight damaging the device.

Heavy duty field carry case for NiteSite Eagle

1 x Carry Case. A robust carry case, fully padded with laser cut high-density ergonomic foam, makes transporting easy and ensures all components are held firmly and are heavily protected from the inevitable knocks the case will endure in the field. Large clasps make unlocking the case easy in night vision conditions.

Illuminator module and viewing screen for NiteSite Eagle

1 x Illuminator module. The scope mounted module houses 5 powerful (IR) illuminators delivering a range of up to 500m. An ergonomic ‘dimming’ knob allows accurate control of the illumination power to reduce flare for closer range targeting. The hooded front has an inset protective lens cover. The rear of the module features a 3.5 inch LCD viewing screen.

Connection to the camera unit is via a 90 degree male three pin jack plug and cable. The base features a patented ‘T’ bracket that connects securely to the Anti recoil clamps ‘T’ slot.

NiteSite Digital IR camera module for Eagle

1 x Camera module. The rugged module houses a colour infrared (IR) frequency camera 1.0 Lux 600TVL 1/3 CCD CMOS sensor (PAL or NTSC) 4:3 ratio. Audio and video (AV) output allows external connection to a recording device via a 3.5mm four pin socket (PAL or NTSC depending on your region). A large push button on/off switch is located on the rear face of the module for easy night operation.

Lithium-ion battery

1 x battery. The Eagle is supplied with a stock mounted 5.5Ah lithium-ion polymer battery that is housed in a separate battery pouch.

Battery stock pouch

1 x stock pouch. The Eagle is supplied with a sturdy weather resistant pouch that snugly holds the larger 5.5Ah battery. The pouch is attached to either side of the rifle stock with a wide elastic belt and Velcro fasteners.

Battery charger

1 x 12 volt lithium-ion charger with charging indicator. Red light indicates the battery is charging. The green light indicates the battery is fully charged. Always use the correct charger supplied with your NiteSite battery.  

Multi diameter scope sleeves for NiteSite Eagle

2 x scope sleeves. 35mm or 40mm diameter rubber sleeves provide a secure, stable connection from the scope’s ocular to the camera unit. The heavy duty rubber construction is flexible enough to stretch over most rifle scope eyepieces although the first application of the scope sleeve over larger diameter eyepieces (44mm plus) can be assisted by softening the sleeve in hot water.

NiteSite Multi diameter scope clamps for Eagle

2 x scope clamps. 25mm and 30mm diameter clamps are included enabling mounting to most rifle scope body tubes. Larger scope clamp sizes are also available in 32mm and 34mm for bigger diameter scope body tubes.

Anti-recoil clamp

1 x adjustable anti-recoil clamp. The removable plastic clamp connects to the top of the scope clamp and ensures that the illuminator module stays firmly in the ‘T’ slot even during the most powerful recoil actions.

Anti-glare filters

1 x pack of five filters. Adhesive screen filters reduce screen glare to suit your environment and personal preferences. Multiple anti-glare filters can be used, progressively darkening the screen with each filter applied. Note:
