Pulsar Core RXQ30V Thermal Rifle Scope 1.6-6.4x22 384x288 description

Pulsar Core RXQ30V Thermal Rifle Scope 1.6-6.4x22 384x288 PL76483Q

The Pulsar Core RXQ30V is equipped with a "Picture in Picture" function which provides the shooter with a possibility to display an additional image region on the screen which contains 2x magnified image of a target and reticle. This allows seeing an image in the aiming area in a more detailed way (see video for demonstration).

Standard for Pulsar digital riflescopes “one shot zeroing” in Core models is complemented by an even more convenient zeroing function - “Freeze”: after making a zeroing shot it is enough to save a frame of a target in the memory of the riflescope and align reticle with point of impact looking at this frame without the necessity of keeping full immobility of a weapon (see video for demonstration).

A full complement of digitally displayed reticle solutions ensures quick target acquisition and a richly contrasting sight picture. Choose from an array of reticle patterns and applications stored in the Core RXQ's internal memory. The RXQ30V will also save up to three individual firearm/ammunition zeroing profiles, including different reticles, at up to three distances in the Core's memory.

When it is necessary to temporarily stop observation the user can apply DISPLAY OFF function. It provides the necessary level of camouflage (no light from the eyepiece of the device) between observation sessions as well as the fast restart of observation (when display is turned off, all other systems are working; for normal operation it is enough just to power on the display again).

The Pulsar Core RXQ30V Thermal Rifle Scope features three operating modes: City (enhanced contrast), Forest (low contrast) and Identification (improved rendering of heat signature details). Each mode optimizes imaging based on viewing conditions.

An included wireless remote control allows the user to fulfill basic operations without resorting to standard controls.

The mounting holes in the base of the riflescope enable the mount to be installed in one of multiple positions. This choice (depending on the rifle type, anthropometric data of a shooter, etc.) helps the user to ensure the most suitable position on a riflescope.

Thermal Imaging

Please note that most thermal devices are built per order.  It may take 3-5 days or more for your order to ship.  If timely shipping is important to you, please, contact us to verify availability prior to ordering.

Thermal devices can produce various types of images.  Some are color others are monochrome.  In either case change in shade or color indicates temperature differences.

Here is how thermal imaging devices work...

A special lens focuses the infrared light emitted by all of the objects in view.

The focused light is scanned by a phased array of infrared-detector elements. The detector elements create a very detailed temperature pattern called a thermogram. It only takes about one-thirtieth of a second for the detector array to obtain the temperature information to make the thermogram. This information is obtained from several thousand points in the field of view of the detector array.

The thermogram created by the detector elements is translated into electric impulses.

The impulses are sent to a signal-processing unit, a circuit board with a dedicated chip that translates the information from the elements into data for the display.

The signal-processing unit sends the information to the display, where it appears as various colors depending on the intensity of the infrared emission. The combination of all the impulses from all of the elements creates the image.

There are a few key Manufacturers when it comes to thermal imaging.

ATN: produce such well knows devies as ThOR-HD thermal scope, BINOX-THD thermal binoculars, and OTS-HD thermal monocular.

FLIR/Armasight: the largest maker of consumer level thermal products is well knows for their full product line.  Zeus thermal scopes, Q14 and Scout monoculars, Helios and Scout binoculars and many more.

Pulsar: a very popular brand for digital night vision and thermal imaging.  Key products include Pulsar Trail and Apex thermal scopes and Pulsar Helion and Quantum thermal monoculars.

Seek: mobile device mounted thermal cameras are the main products of this brand.

Delivery Time and Manufacturing Process for Pulsar Core RXQ30V Thermal Rifle Scope 1.6-6.4x22 384x288:

Most of our manufacturers do not keep products like Pulsar Core RXQ30V Thermal Rifle Scope 1.6-6.4x22 384x288 assembled on the shelf. Night Vision tubes are kept separate from the body of the unit. When the order is placed, the manufacturer starts the order processing and assembly process which includes the following:

  • Order processing - we collect all the necessary information including address and phone numbers. We also make sure that our customer ordered the correct product for their needs and that the product can be exported by US law to the country of destination. In some cases a signed export compliance form is required.
  • QC - in this step the manufacturer will inspect all individual parts which will be used to assemble the night vision device for any defects.
  • Production & Assembly - during production, all the parts are put together. Night Vision tubes in inserted into the body of the unit and all the complex electronics for the device are connected. This process takes place in a special lab called the "clean room" as even a small speckle of dust can cause undesired optical effect.
  • QA - one the night vision device is assembled, it goes through a rigorous testing process to make sure it meets all the expected specifications and all parts function as expected. For this most manufacturers have a special "dark room" designed to allow testing of the units without causing incidental damage to the night vision tube by exposure to bright light.
  • Packaging - this is a key process as well. In most case your night vision device will be shipped to you directly from the manufacturer but sometimes needs to be sent to us first. In either case items need to be packaged securely to avoid any kind of damage during transportation.
  • Shipping - as described above items will most of the time ship from the manufacturer. For most domestic orders (unless shipping to POB or AFB) a premium shipper like FedEx or UPS will be used.

Only by following the above steps can we along with our manufacturers bring you - our customer - night vision products of highest quality, However as you can understand the above process can take several days to complete. For example if your device fails QA, the entire process restarts. Also at QC stage a manufacturer may realize that the tube they have in stock has a defect and a replacement tube needs to be ordered. Due to the complexity of this process, it is prudent to expect 3-4 business days for production and handling of the purchased device. Keep in mind that this process is designed to guarantee your satisfaction with the night vision device of your choice.  It occasionally possible to expedite the process for urgent orders but addional fees or other restrictions may apply.

From on

Q: The scope is not exportable, Can it be shipped to APO?

A: Hi Tony. Thank you for your service. We can only ship thermal scopes within the United States.

From on

Q: Is this product finally shipping? Do you have to send it back to pulsar if it needs an update? Or will it even need updated without all the extras?

A: Hi Jeremiah. We expect to have one unit of Pulsar Core RXQ30V Thermal Rifle Scope 1.6-6.4x22 384x288 available next week after we ship all the backorders. I don't think they offer any firmware updates.

Q: Are there any available currently and if not, any kind of eta? Also, with the atn sale price, the Thor is slightly cheaper than this even tho the Thor msrp is $100 more. Is there any way the sale price of the Thor (at $1700 ish) could be beaten by $100 with the pulsar rxq30v? Thanks very much.

A: Hi Nick. It would much easier to negotiate a deal via phone. if possible please respond with your contact number and the best time to call. I am sure we can figure out an arrangement that works for both parties.

From on

Q: What do you use as the external power since it is not included and how do you record as well

A: Hi Matt. When you say external power, do you mean an external additional power supply? It supports 5V-Micro USB. In terms of recording any standard digital mobile DVR will do usually. you may need some basic wire adapter depending on the model.

From on

Q: Is there any problem using the Core RXQ30V while wearing glasses?

A: Hi Phil Like with any viewfinder, it may be less comfortable to look through it with glasses. Otherwise, things should work same as with any daytime unit.

From on

Q: will this work on any size rifle recoil 50 cal 308 30 06 thanks for the reply

A: Hi. Pulsar Core Thermal Scopes are rated for 308 maximum recoil. Please let us know if you have further questions about this or other thermal scopes.

From on

Q: I see both the RXQ30V & RXQ30L from various retailers. Can you explain the difference? Thanks!

A: Hi Dave. You should go by the manufacturer's part number which in this case is PL76483Q. I believe the other two labels where swapped around over time but in reality it is the same thermal scope.

Q: My front lens cover only closes half way seems like the other half is stuck, any thoughts how i can fix this ?

A: hi Lavern. It is hard to answer this without seeing. We have never faced this issue so not much experience on this either. Probably the best idea is to contact Pulsar directly.

Q: Can this thermal be used in daylight to help in stalking / game recovery as a handheld unit?

A: Hi Dave. All thermal scopes and other types of thermal devices can be sued during the day. Only analog night vision devices are impacted by bright light.

From on

Q: How far will you be able to tell if a cyote is a cyote with this unit compared to the flir 233 I'm trying to make up my mind between the two

A: Hi Blake. A lot depends on the conditions of use of these thermal scopes, but overall you can probably recognize a coyote from a different animal at around 120-150 yards. Telling it apart from a similar type of a dog would be harder. The main benefit of the PTS 233 is the new Boson core which gives crisper image quality due to the 12 micron sensor.

From on

Q: What Generation thermal imaging is the Pulsar Core RXQ30V>

A: hi Jerry. There are no generations when it comes to thermals. "Generation" is a night vision tube concept. If you need to speak to one of our product experts to help you pick the correct device for your specific needs, please let us know the best way to get in touch.
